At the time of maturity, there is a 10-day grace period during which the the funds can be withdrawn without penalty or the certificate will automatically renew at then-current rate for similar term CDs at Quontic Bank

Any early principal withdrawal before maturity date will result in a penalty of 12 / 24 months worth of interest for 12 or 24 months CDs / 36 or 48 or 60 months CDs. If the accrued interest exceeds the penalty amount, the excess accrued interest over the penalty amount will be paid. If the accrued interest is less than the penalty amount, a reduction of the principal balance may result
